What do you think C.I.G. Private Wealth Management can best help clients with?

Our organizational structure and broker dealer relationships allows us to provide independent investment services based upon our client needs. This is critical when many investment advisors work backwards from a specific investment product. We also excel at creating comprehensive plans that incorporate all aspects of an individual’s financial life, allowing clients to enjoy retirement with confidence.

What can C.I.G. Private Wealth Management help clients with best?

I think we add value by providing personalized service, expert investment product knowledge, and tactical coordination with other professionals to deliver a well-rounded experience.

Do you have a favorite newspaper, magazine, columnist or blog that you follow?

Bill Simmons and Jesse Felder are my two favorites. Bill is a sportswriter from Boston who keeps me up to date on all the happenings in the sports world. Jesse is a financial writer who always has a good contrarian perspective.

What is the last book you read, for personal and for business?

The last book I read cover-to-cover was ‘Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap….and Others Don’t’ by James Collins. Centering on the central hypothesis ‘Why do some companies preform significantly better than their peers?’, the book takes an in-depth dive into several firms that meet a statistical criterion to answer that question. I found it interesting hearing firsthand accounts about different managerial styles across industries and the similarities and differences that drove firms to achieve great success and how I can apply some of the insights in my own life. I highly recommend it!

Why did you decide to do the work you are doing now?

The financial services industry is a great fit for me as an individual because it allows me to help others and learn about the finical markets. When I took a business elective in school, we covered the stock market I knew then that working in this field was my end goal for a career. I enjoy learning about the investment world, working in this field allows me to do what I enjoy and help others.

My favorite after work activity is…

Playing basketball! I love to head to the court to play some pickup ball. It’s something I look forward to.

What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?

I always thought that dirt bike racing and motocross sports was cool. I’d love to learn how to jump and race dirt bikes.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

My girlfriend and I really enjoy cooking. We made barbecue ribs for Memorial Day, and chili for the Super Bowl.
