Jack has been at CIG for a year now and is his first job in the financial industry since graduating college. Since starting he has been working as a paraplanner assisting the advisors, learning about the industry, and taking numerous certification exams. He is hoping to move up to an advisor role in the coming years.
Jack was born and raised in West Hartford, CT. He attended Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire and Graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. In college he was captain of the Men’s ice hockey team, Student Government Treasurer, a member of the school’s investment club, the Hammond investment group, and an orientation leader. Upon graduating, Jack returned to West Hartford where he still lives. When he is not working, he enjoys golfing, playing hockey, skiing (water and snow), and spending time at his family’s house on cape cod.
What is your favorite outside-of-work activity?
Definitely playing hockey. Even though I no longer play competitively I really enjoy men’s league and pick up.
What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
Something that scares them or is out of their comfort zone. Everyone is different so its hard to say one thing everyone should do but I think trying new things is the key to growing as a person.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
That I don’t eat seafood. Growing up spending summers on the cape it always surprises people when I tell them I don’t eat seafood.
